The Lee County Forestry Pageant was held January 24, 2009 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Albany, Ga. under the direction of Kelly Eadie-Leverette. The ladies selected will serve as ambassadors of forestry for the Georgia Forestry Commission in Lee County during the 2009 year.

Miss Georgia Forestry Pageant

The Georgia Forestry Scholarship Pageant each year gives away over $120,000 in college scholarships and prizes. The Georgia Forestry Pageant is the oldest scholarship pageant in the state of Georgia. The Georgia Forestry Pageant is not a "beauty pageant", its an educational opportunity for young ladies instilling confidence in public speaking and self worth. Also the queens serve as ambassadors of forestry informing others of the importance of forestry to the State of Georgia.
